Lead is K♠. What you play next

a) Cash 3 rounds of trumps, and play for 3-3 in Hearts

b) Cash A and K♦, play three rounds of hearts. If the hearts are 4-2 you need more tricks from clubs. Play a club to the K, 10 is played from east and you win. Now low club to catch A10♣ in east?

c) Cash A and K♦, play three rounds of hearts. If the hearts are 4-2 you need more tricks from clubs. Play a club to the K, 10 is played from east and you win. Now K♣ to catch J10♣ in east?

Solution: c) Our best chance is 3-3 in hearts. We can increase our chances by drawing two rouns of trumps, and then try the hearts. This is the case at the table. Now we are a trick short, and we have to create some tricks from the club suit. We play a club towards the king, and the 10 is played from east. The key is in the bidding. Why east bid only two spades? Maybe he is very weak. Play for J10 in his hand.
